Barend Jan was born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. After having lived in Zeeland, Utrecht, Gießen (Germany), and Indonesia he is now living in the city where he was born. He is happily married and if he is not busy working on Content Supply Chain issues for Wolters Kluwer, there's a good chance you can find him working on photography related projects. Fields of his interest are: linked open data (LOD), semantics, knowledge management, agile development, evolution of social behaviour, theory of memes, signaling theory, art (classic, renaissance, modern and contemporary), Italy, hiking, reclining bikes, and photography.
